Margaret Catherine Salerno

Margaret Catherine Salerno, age 93, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Racine, December 2, 1929, daughter of the late Lester and Miriam (Nee: Laughry) Smith.

Margaret was a graduate of Washington Park High School, “Class of 1947”. Margaret was employed as a floral designer at Milaeger’s for many years. She was very artistic and enjoyed decorating, gardening, cooking and baking.

She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by her children, Darrell (Joy) Salerno, Victoria (Al) Kosterman, Vondell (Mike) Szymandera; grandchildren, Marissa Salerno, Erin Salerno, Ryan (Jaime) Kosterman, Christopher (Whinter) Kosterman, Tiffany (Scott) Lippold, Troy (Molly) Szymandera, Leah (David) Chatman; great grandchildren: Hunter, Gunner, Lyra, Hector, Pepper, Sheena, Andrew, William, Grace, McKynna, MalaKia, MyKah, Madi and Reagan; sisters, Janet Claybrook and Marlene Hayes; nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Smith and Earl Smith.

A private Memorial Service was held.
