Marie L. Minakian

Marie Louise Minakian, age 96, passed away peacefully at home with her daughter at her side Tuesday, June 30, 2026. She was born in Brussels, Belguim, July 6, 1929, daughter of the late Gaston and Marie (Nee: Moortgat) Parsy.

Marie immigrated to the United States and has been a resident of Racine. She was employed by the State of Wisconsin Unemployment Office in Racine for 15 years. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Marie will be remembered as an excellent cook who had a pleasant demeanor, was always happy and enjoyed being well dressed. She enjoyed her trips traveling back to Europe to visit family and friends. Above all she treasured time spent with her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her daughers, Christine Minakian, Suzanne Spasky; 5 grandchildren, Anthony, Stephen, Jessica, Samantha, and Nicholas; other relatives and dear friends.

Private services will be held followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32.
