Marjorie Jane Engaas, “Marge”, age 78, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, September 8, 1945, daughter of the late Dan and Margaret (Nee:Manske) Bryan.

Marge graduated from Custer High School and furthered her education earning a degree in nursing. On May 7, 1966, she was united in marriage to Rolland G. Engaas and they were blessed with 2 children, Michael and Dawn. Marge was employed as a Registered Nurse by Lincoln Lutheran and then at Society’s Assets for 11 years retiring in 2011. She was a longtime member of Christ Church United Methodist where she felt at home since many of her family members belong to Christ Church. She loved to travel, going to places such as Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, Bahamas, Norway, and making frequent trips to California to visit her sister. Marge also enjoyed the theater be it at the Racine Theatre Guild with her best friend Mary Ann or in Chicago with her family. She was extremely happy when Dawn and Greg were married and she instantly inherited 3 great-grandchildren. Overall, Marge was a kind and loving soul who will be deeply missed.

Surviving are her daughter, Dawn (Greg) Grabowski; in-laws, Vicky Bryan, Lori (Bob) Ludwig, Bill (Kris) Engaas; nieces and nephews, Scott (Mercy) Bryan, Susan (Brian) Crowe and their children Brandon and Jordan, Sheri (Jeff) Tos and their children Aiden and Austin, Lindsay (Eric) Hoaglan and their children Conner and Kinley, Kristin (Erik) Helling and their children Brielle and Keaton, Erica (Tim) McCue and their children Caeli and Keira, Darren (Amanda) Engaas and their son Desmond; her cousin, Bill Valuck. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael; sister, Dorothy; and brother, Ralph.

Funeral services will be held at Christ Church United Methodist, 5109 Washington Ave, Friday, April 19, 2024, 11 am with Rev. George Kafer officiating. Relatives and friends may meet at the church 10am until time of service. Memorials to Christ Church United Methodist have been suggested.
