Mary A. Ballew

Mary Ann Ballew, age 70, of Sussex, WI, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Ascension St. Mary’s Columbia Hospital, Milwaukee. She was born in Peoria Illinois, October 24, 1953, daughter of the late Alan and Virgina Greer. Mary had 14 siblings.

Mary graduated from Lacon High School, Lacon, IL “Class of 1971”. She had lived in Sussex the past 2 years.

Mary enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, watching westerns, listening to Country Western Music and rooting for her beloved Dallas Cowboys. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her generosity to those close to her and her love of family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her son, Shawn Ballew (Sara Gonzalez); 3 grandchildren, Justin, Samantha, and Tessa; 3 great grandchildren, Jace, Lucy, and Caspain; her close dear friend, Mary Janusik; siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
