Mary E. Brauer

Mary Brauer passed away in her sleep on Tuesday July 22nd 2025 at the age of 77 after a three-year battle with cancer. She was born on January 11th 1948, daughter of Arnold and Inez Christensen and grew up in the city of Racine. Mary Graduated from Racine St Catherine's High School. Shortly after graduating Mary started work for J I Case of Racine. She worked in many departments over her 25 plus years and spent her final years working in Shipping and Receiving (SPS). Mary was forced into early retirement due to a neck injury she received while working at J I Case.

Mary's favorite times were spent traveling the world, as one of her biggest joys was seeing different cities and countries. Mary made friends everywhere, treating everyone with love and respect. One of her many talents she had was completing the crossword puzzle from the Chicago Tribune each Sunday, often sitting outside enjoying the weather while completing her puzzles. Mary was a very private person while battling the cancer she was going through. Mary did not want to share with friends and family her struggles, treatments and final days, those were her wishes.

Mary is survived by her Son and Daughter in-law, Scott and Sue Brauer of Lake Tomahawk, her grandson, Taylor Lee Brauer, her many brothers and sisters, Charles (Carol) Christensen, Allen (Joann) Christensen, Randy (Linda) Christensen, Nels Christensen, Frank Christensen, Marty Boye and Rose (Mike) Wallner.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at Lincoln Park Nursing Home of Racine for their loving and compassionate care. Mary thought of each of you as her friend and enjoyed spending time with you. A special thank you to Julie for always being there for her.
