Mary Lou Schiro, age 72, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Racine, May 18, 1954, the 5th of six children of the late John and Delores (Nee:Ruud) Anderson.

On November 27, 1971, she was united in marriage to Anthony Schiro and they were blessed with 2 boys, Tony and Dominic. They were married for 52 years when Anthony passed on November 5, 2023. Mary was generous, compassionate and kind. She and Anthony were foster parents for seventeen years caring for special needs children. Mary was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed cooking classes and shopping. Above all her passion was her grandkids. They were her life. She treasured the time she spent and enjoyed being a grandma and a great Gma. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her sons, Tony (Nicole) Schiro, Dominic Schiro; 4 grandchildren, Lauren (Wes) Beard, Anthony Schiro (Morgan), Jax Schiro (Madison), Alayna Schiro; siblings: Sandra (Charles) Quella, Eugene (Nancy) Anderson, William Anderson; sister-in-law, Barbara Anderson; the very large extended Schiro family; nieces, nephews, other relatives, many dear friends, and her beloved cats, Oreo and Sable.
