Mary Margaret Boyle, age 98, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Oak Ridge Care Center, Union Grove. She was born in Dubuque, IA, June 15, 1928, daughter of the late Alvin and Genevieve (Nee: Duccini) Sanders.

Mary graduated from St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1946”. She received her Nursing Degree from St. Luke’s School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for 30 years for Lincoln Lutheran. On October 24, 1953, she was united in marriage to Eugene L. Boyle who preceded her in death in 1986. Mary was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church, the Catholic Womens Club and the Retired Involved Nurses Group, (RING). She enjoyed reading and traveling but most of all she treasured time spent with her family.

Surviving are her son Kevin Boyle; grandsons, Nicholas and Casey Boyle; brother, John Sanders; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Diane Boyle; siblings, Alice (Francis) Quirk, Alvin (Loretta) Sanders, Richard (Patricia) Sanders, Thomas (Georgiana) Sanders.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 15, 2026, 11am at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave with Rev. Jose Mario Nieto officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the Mass 10-11 am.

Memorials to St. Lucy’s Catholic Church have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a thank you to Sonny Havn and his daughter Becky and good friend Kay for their care in her last years.
