Mary Margaret Miller

With her loving family by her side, Mary Margaret Miller, age 75, passed away Sunday March 1, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Mary was born in Racine on August 14, 1939, daughter of the late Otto and Susan (nee: Barra) Miller, and was a lifelong resident.

She attended St. John Nepomuk Grade School and was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1957”. Mary was employed in the medical transcription department at St. Mary’s Medical center and lastly at Kurten Clinic for thirty years. In her younger years, she was employed with Walker Mfg. for seven years. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed socializing with friends, dining out, shopping, her favorite TV programs and her cat, Autumn. An animal lover all of her life, Mary had pets of all kinds. She had a huge heart and was generous to charities involving animal welfare, the underprivileged and veteran’s causes.

Mary will be dearly missed by her sister, Suzanna (Dale) Jelinek; nieces and nephews, Brenda (Patrick) Spensley, Robert V. Miller, Shelly (Paul) Belanger; great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother Robert in World War II and her brother Nicholas in 2012.

A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday March 10, 2015, 2:00 p.m. Memorials to Countryside Humane Society have been suggested.
