Marylou Majowski, age 69, of Racine passed away unexpectedly while battling cancer on August 27, 2025 at Aurora Medical Center Mount Pleasant. Born in Park Ridge, Illinois, daughter of the late Louis and Rosemary (Nee: Conlon) Zalewski. Marylou graduated from Prairie High School in Racine, Wisconsin. She earned her undergraduate degree from Clarke University in Dubuque, IA and later received her Masters from UW Milwaukee. Following her graduation from Clarke University, Marylou began her teaching career in Racine where she spent the majority of her career working in several local parochial schools, and retired from the Red Apple School.

It was while teaching at St. Joseph Grade School she met Joseph Majowski and on June 6th, 1981 they were united in marriage. After 43 years of marriage, Joe passed in February of 2025.

Marylou enjoyed working in her garden, cheering on the Brewers, and quilting. She cherished the time she spent with her family, friends, and beloved dog Josie Rose. She will be remembered for the selflessness and optimism she displayed throughout her whole life. Marylou was a devoted wife and mother and will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her daughter, Ellen Majowski; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Chelsie Majowski; in-laws, Theresa and Jeff Blewitt; and other relatives and dear friends.

A memorial service celebrating Marylou’s life will be held on Saturday, September 13 at Maresh Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main Street, Racine, WI 53403. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family at 12:00 PM. Service to follow at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marylou’s name to The Cholangiocacinoma Foundation have been suggested by the family. The family wishes to thank the staff of Aurora Cancer Care and the staff of Aurora Medical Center Mount Pleasant ICU and Garden Level.
