Maureen Regina Pestka (Nee: McKenna), age 88, passed away Thursday March 5, 2026, at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. She was born on October 25, 1937, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, daughter of the late Francis and Agnes (Nee: Schramm) McKenna.

Maureen married Robert L. Pestka on June 29, 1957. In 1972 they moved to Racine to raise their four children. In 1973 Maureen began working with the Augustinians at St. Rita Catholic Church as a receptionist and retired after 33 years as Business Manager. She loved every moment of her job! She was honored to become an Augustinian Affiliate.

Maureen cherished her children, Deborah (Jon) Krogh, Robert (Cathy) Pestka, Michael (Michelle) Pestka, Edward (Beth) Pestka; her grandchildren, Christy (Justin) Fitzharris, Steven (Krista) Krogh, Christy Ruffalo, Brayton Pestka and Delaney Pestka; great grandchildren, Chloe, Stella, Nilsine, Kurtis and Kayden; brother, Michael McKenna; brother-in-law, John Pestka; nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parent’s, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her sister Kathryn Ballard, brother and sister-in-law, Frank (Mary) McKenna, sister-in-law, Bonnie McKenna, nephew, Michael McKenna and her niece, Sherrie Hawkins.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Maureen’s life will be held at 11:30 am, Thursday March 12, 2026, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave. with Rev. Christopher Steinle officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation on Thursday at 10:00 until time of Mass at the church. Private interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, in the town of Dover.
