Michael E. Boye

Michael E. Boye, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday February 22, 2025 at his residence. Michael was born in Racine on September 24, 1951, son of the late Jerome and Clotile (June) Boye.

Mike graduated from Washington Park High School “Class of 1970”. Through the years, he was employed with Martin Petersen, United Mechanical, and retired from Advance Mechanical as a foreman. He was a proud and dedicated steamfitter with the Local Union 118. As a life long learner, his interests were diverse.. He loved scuba diving, archery, drawing, hunting, and teaching others the craft of steamfitting. Often times, he would be found at the dining table, taking soft puffs from his walnut pipe and reading one of his many “dirty books” about steamfitting.

Mike enjoyed hunting, scuba diving and taught himself French and how to cook French cuisine. He will be remembered for his hard work and love learning.

Michael will be dearly missed by his son, Garrett Boye and his daughter Hazel; his daughter Sheenen Boye and her children, Noah Kroll, Taylor and Rodney Finley; brothers, Terry (Hope) Boye, Jerry Boye and Chucky Boye; znieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Mike was also preceded in death by his brothers, Christian and David.

Private family services will be held with interment at Graceland Cemetery.
