Michael Joseph Gramza

Michael Joseph Gramza, age 71, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Ascension All Saints Hospital. He was born in Racine, August 10, 1952, son of the late Joseph and Patricia (Nee:Hull) Gramza.

Mike attended Washington Park High School “Class of 1970”. He drove bus for the Lamers Bus Company and was the personal bus driver for the Tommy Dorsey Band for 10 years from 1980 to 1990 Mike also was employed by Twin Disc and Master Lock retiring in 2014 from Air Logic Power Systems.

Mike’s passion was music. He played the guitar and a founding member of the Thunder Mountain Band. Mike also enjoyed camping, roller coasters, swimming and dogs. He will be remembered for beautiful baritone voice, sense of humor and love of life. He was a devoted father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his sons, Justin Gramza, Joseph Gramza, and Steven Gramza; granddaughters, Alyssa Gramza and Willow Gramza; siblings, Linda (Ramez) Boueri, Theresa Kopplin, John (Angela) Gramza; his special friend, Amelia Ferrante; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Susan (Frank) Nedjedly, Diane Dzurick, Joseph Gramza and Donald Gramza.

A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 2 pm. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 1-2 pm.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to staffs of Ascension All Saints 3rd FL ICU and Compassus Hospice for their loving and compassionate care. Also a thank you to the Racine Fire Department for their care of him and prompt response when they were called to his home on different occasions.
