Monroe Jackson, age 82, passed away Wednesday, March 09, 2016 at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Monroe was born in Myrtle, MS, December 24, 1933, son of the late General and Dewdrop (Nee: Grimm) Jackson.

Monroe was employed for forty-four years, first with Standard Foundry and lastly with American Motors, retiring in 1974. His true passion was working on cars, but he also enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and watching westerns.

He will be dearly missed by his former wife and mother of his children, Rev. Dorothy H. Jackson of Racine, his children, Gail Young of Orlando, FL, Marilyn Jackson, Tony (Carmen) Jackson, Wendell Jackson, all of Racine, Myron Jackson of Cudahy, Rhonda Jackson of Racine; 8 grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his six brothers; six sisters; and his granddaughter, Vista Jackson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M.
