Life Story / Obituary
Patricia Ann Lesniewski, age 89, passed away peacefully Friday, July 26, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born in Racine, June 15, 1935, the 1st of 9 children of the late Ralph and Frieda (Nee: Scheel) Lawrence.
Pat graduated from Wm Horlick High School “Class of 1953”. She was a hard worker and a wonderful mother who raised her 3 children by herself. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ, was a born-again Christian without apology, and was a Prayer Warrior. "Sister Pat," as she was known by so many, served God day and night with many fastings and prayers. One of her favorite scriptures was," Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Her greatest desire was for all of her family members to receive God's great gift of salvation, to which end, she constantly prayed. Pat was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She will be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness and love for her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Pat is survived by her 3 children, Michael (Joanie) Lesniewski, Lizanne (Mark) Granger, Richard (Meshell, whom she affectionately referred to her as “Her Ruth,” and herself as “Her Naomi”) Lesniewski; 4 grandchildren who affectionately knew her as Pammy, Hannah (James) Kovac, Richard Granger, Mikey Lesniewski, Samuel Granger; her beloved great grandchildren, Jackson “JJ” Kovac, Isabella Grace Kovac; her siblings who affectionately called her Paki, Sue Butterfield, Dave Lawrence, Marie Janczak, Mike (Becky) Lawrence; in-laws, Sheila Lawrence, Beverly Lawrence; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, dear friends and special “son” Leo Sems. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Fred Lawrence, John Lawrence, Tim Lawrence, Linda Abbott and beloved brother-in-law, Bill Butterfield.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday, August 6, 2024, 11 am. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet at the funeral home Monday, August 5, 2024, 5-7 pm and on Tuesday 10 – 11 am.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to caregivers Dave, Ellie, and Lizzie.
