Life Story / Obituary
Paul Lee Willing, age 84, passed away Thursday August 15, 2024, at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. Paul was born in Racine on January 10, 1940, the 2nd of 8 children of the late Frank and Clarice (nee: Hart) Willing.
Paul was a proud graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1960”. On July 26, 1969, Paul was united in marriage to the love of his life, Nancy Ann Pribyl. They raised three children, Paul, Anne, and Jennifer and shared fifty-five beautiful years together. Paul was employed with the U.S. Postal service for thirty-six years before he retired in 2003. He was a member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Hoy Audubon Society. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed coaching his daughters softball teams, his time at the YMCA, woodcarving birds, fishing, league Dart ball and watching sports, especially the Cubs and Packers. Paul had a quiet disposition who treasured time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy; children, Paul (Phyllis) Willing of Madison, Anne Willing of Racine, Jennifer Johnson of Merrill, WI; grandchildren, Eric Willing, Theo, Emmett, and Talia Johnson; siblings, David (Carol) Willing, Kathleen (James) Jacobsen, and Bernard (Joy) Willing; in-laws, Ilona Willing, Judith Packer, Barbara (Ronald) Zielinski, Mary (Kenneth) Bissett; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Paul was also preceded in death by brothers, Frank and John, sisters, Mary and Donna; and brother-in-law, Joseph Pribyl.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 1903 Green Street, on Thursday, August 29, 2024, 11am with Reverend Jose Mario Nieto officiating. Private entombment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the Mass 10-11 am.
