Regina "Gina" Montgomery

Regina “Gina” Montgomery, age 66 passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at her residence. Gina was born in Germany, July 9, 1946, daughter of the late Janis and Tamara (Nee: Nasimova) Mazelis.

On January 23, 1971 she was united in marriage to Donald R. Montgomery who preceded her in death, February 12, 2011. Gina taught at Central High School in Kenosha for many years, retiring in 2007. She was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church. She was an avid reader. More than anything Gina cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

She was the proud mother of Heather (Randy) Elliott and Debra A. Montgomery; the adoring grandmother of Cole, Riley, and Nolan Elliott, Gwyneth, Connor, and Lucas Monroe; brother, Janis G. Mazelis; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 25, 2013, 6 P.M.at St. Richard’s Catholic Church, 1503 Grand Ave with Reverend Ron Gramza officiating. Relatives and friends may meet Monday at the church from 4:00 P.M. until time of Mass at 6:00 P.M. Private entombment will be held at the Southern Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover. Memorials to St. Richard’s Catholic Church have been suggested.
