Life Story / Obituary
Following a long illness, Rev. Pamela C. Kerschner, left this world on Thursday morning, April 11, 2013 to be with her Lord and Savior and those Saints passed before. Pam was born in Elkhorn, WI, October 26, 1951 daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy (Nee: Ollesch) Pruessing.
Pam was a graduate of Bigfoot High School “Class of 1969”. Furthering her education she received a nursing degree from the Lutheran School of Nursing, Milwaukee. She served as a nurse in the United States Army active duty 1973-77 and continued as a reservist until her retirement in 1991, as a Captain. She left nursing to embark on a new ministry receiving her Masters of Divinity Degree from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, IL. She was last serving as Pastor at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pam loved life with passion, commitment, love and faith to those she touched.
Survivors include her brother, Paul Pruessing of Mt. Pleasant; nephew, Tony Boggs of Mobile, AL; niece, Lindsay (Jesse) Lis of Delevan; three great nephews, Collin, Ian, and Harley; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Barbara Pruessing.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, April 14, 2013, 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 P.M. until time of service at 4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Starbuck Middle School Barbara Pruessing Memorial have been suggested.
