Life Story / Obituary
Ricky “Rick” Scott Coleman, age 64, passed away at his home on Sunday, February 8, 2026. He was born in Pikesville, Kentucky, on December 17, 1961, the son of the late Clarence and Mary Lou (née Ramey) Coleman.
On May 25, 2012, Rick married the love of his life, Garette Beck, with whom he shared 29 wonderful years. He dedicated 37 years of service to C.J.W., Inc./MTL in Racine, where he began as a truck driver and later became transportation manager.
Rick had an enduring passion for fishing and found great joy in spending time outdoors in Wisconsin. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man, always ready to lend a helping hand to his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife Garette Coleman; his son Kevin (Carla) Coleman; grandson Tristan Coleman; sisters Chrystal (Russell) Barth and Linda (Scott) Copeland; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other cherished relatives, and dear friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating Rick’s life will be held at 5:00 pm, at the funeral home, Thursday, February 26, 2026. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet for Visitation Thursday at 3:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will take place on Friday, February 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery on Highway 32.
In honor of Rick—who was always most comfortable in blue jeans and a flannel shirt—guests are invited to dress casually. To honor Rick’s love of the outdoors and wildlife, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Racine Zoo.
