On January 20, 2024, Faye departed this life at her residence in Tempe, Arizona surrounded by her great granddaughter, Wynter Smith, whom she adored.

Robbie Faye Nunn-Shaw, better known as Faye, was born on January 15, 1946, in Alamo (Crockett County) Tennessee to Nelson and Rebecca (Mayfield) Nunn. She attended and graduated from William Horlick High School. After graduation, Faye went to work for and retired from American Motors in Kenosha, WI.

Faye was a faithful member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she was an usher until her health forced her to step down. She was feisty, full of life and didn’t mind telling people how she felt. She enjoyed speaking to her family members on the phone, being in the know about everything, playing cards and bingo. Faye had a hand in raising nieces, nephews, grand and great grandchildren, her home was always open. She was a member of the Foster Care Program for many years where she planted seeds in the lives of numerous foster children.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories 2 sons, Jutiki X of Menomonee Falls, WI and Johnny Woods-Shaw of Racine, WI; 4 daughters, Nicikia Shaw-Conley of Tempe, Arizona, Christina Woods-Miles (Rebecca Miles) of Phoenix, Arizona, Sharlacia and Shatyania Shaw of Dallas, Texas; 30 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and several foster children. Faye is furthered survived by 3 sisters, Dorthy Nunn and Shirley Nunn of Racine, WI, Sandra Lyons of Glendale, Arizona; 2 brothers, Bobbi Nunn of Racine, WI, and Michael Nunn of Kenosha, WI; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family; 6 godchildren, Shana Causey-Jones, Steven Chatman, Kiesha Gamble, Tiffany Grandberry and Dominique Wester of Racine, WI, Recquel Nunn of Phoenix, Arizona; special grandchildren, Marshawn Shaw, Trevon Trussell and Jaliyah Shaw (Mini Me); bonus child, Destine Hunter; special great granddaughter, Wynter Smith; 4 special nieces and nephews, Tiesha Carothers, DeSario Turner, Janice Nunn, and Steven Chatman; 7 special friends, Jessie May Martin, Ora Conley, Marilyn Davis, Balorie Saffold, Ilena Zinn, Aldrenna Smith and Terilynn Miles. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Shaw; son, Andre Nunn; mother and father, Nelson and Rebecca Nunn; sisters, Annie Louise Majors, Pauline Brooks, Jacqueline Nunn and Marilyn Golden; brothers, Donnie Joe Nunn and Billie Nunn; godson, Marvin Nunn; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Cummings-Nunn and grandson, DaShontay King.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1120 Grand Avenue, Friday February 9, 2024, 11:00 a.m., with Bishop L.L. Kirby officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
