Life Story / Obituary
Surrounded by her loving family and friends, Rochelle "Shelly" Lynn Eschmann, age 59, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Kenosha, WI, May 29, 1965, daughter of Thomas and Karen (Nee:Goff) Kovach.
Shelly graduated from Tremper High School, “Class of 1983” and went on to earn a degree in accounting from U.W. Parkside. On May 20, 1989, in Kenosha she married the love of her life Kenneth M. Eschmann and they celebrated their 35th anniversary this year. Shelly had been employed in numerous accounting positions and has been with SC Johnson since 2017. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, reading, cards, puzzles, and rooting for the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers. She will be remembered for her smile and love and compassion for everyone she met. Above all she treasured the time spent with family and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her husband, Ken; daughter, Alexandra; son, Ryan; mother, Karen Thomas; siblings, Renee Thomas, Michael Kovach, Patrick Thomas, Jennifer (Bryan) Damrow; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Eleanor Eschmann; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael (Susan) Eschmann, Randy (Michelle) Eschmann; nieces, nephews, other relatives, dear friends and her beloved dog, Oscar. She was preceded in death by her fathers, Thomas Kovach and Daniel Thomas.
Relatives and friends may meet at the funeral home Friday, November 15, 2024, 3-5 pm. A funeral service and reception will follow at 5 pm with Reverend John Anderson officiating. Memorials to Cancer research are suggested.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to The Hospice House at Hospice Alliance for the outstanding care given over Shelly’s last days.
