Rodney Vilas Greene

Rodney Vilas Greene, age 79, passed away at his residence, Monday, July 21, 2025. He was born in Onalaska, WI, October 21, 1945, son of the late Vilas and Adair Greene.

Rodney was a graduate of Onalaska High School, “Class of 1963’. He proudly served his country, serving in the United States Marine Corp. In his earlier years, Rodney owned and operated Rodney’s Dining and Cocktails in Kenosha. A salesman at heart, Rodney was employed at various car dealerships and lastly as a real estate agent for Re/Max Newport Elite. Rodney was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He also was quite the pool shark and held his black belt in karate.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Ronda Shinn, Donald (Amanda) Erdman, Amber (Danon) Holman; grandchildren, Kayla Bolan, Devan Shinn, Brandon (Bridget) Erdman, Kylae (Gene) Kirby, Emily Erdman, Frankie Erdman, Adrian Holman, Isabella Holman and Giovanni Holman; great grandchildren, Damon Shinn, Amelia Shinn and Michael Kirby; brothers, Kenny Greene, Wayne Greene, Norman (Mary) Greene; nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Raymond Greene.

Funeral services celebrating Rodney’s life will be held at 11:00 am at the funeral home, Wednesday July 30, 2025. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for visitation, Wednesday at 10:00 am until time of service. Interment will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
