Ronald G. Verborg

Ronald G. Verborg, age 78, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Racine, October 13, 1938, son of Gaston and Mae (Nee: Parr) Verborg.

Ron proudly served in the United States Navy from 1958-62 aboard the USS Edisto and USS Great Sitkin. On June 10, 1967 at St. Rose Catholic Church he was united in marriage to Sally A. Putman. He was a longtime member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Ron also belonged to the Sturtevant Bowling League and Lions Club. More than anything, he enjoyed Friday nights dancing with his wife, spending time with his family, and watching the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty-nine years, Sally; his children, Cindy Verborg and her daughter, Alexandria, Brian Verborg and his son, Seth, Greg (Brenda) Verborg and their children, Trever, Jordyn, and Keegan; his mother, Mae Verborg; brother, Robert (Arlene) Verborg; sister-in-law, AnnMarie Putman; brother-in-law, Chuck Erickson; nephews and nieces, Robert Verborg, Alice (Gary) Lauber, Jeff Erickson, James (Sherri) Erickson; other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gaston; sister-in-law, Barbara Erickson; and nephew, Chuck Verborg.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016, 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Town of Dover. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Wednesday at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 10:30 A.M.
