Ronald Savasta

Ronald J. Savasta, age 77, passed away Monday December 31, 2012 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. Ronald was born in Racine on August 12, 1935, son of the late james and Josephine (nee: Matagrano) Savasta.

Ron proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from Dominican College with a Bachelors Degree in Education. Ron was last employed with Promotions Unlimited for twenty years until his retirement in 2010. Ron was a quiet and unassuming man who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his children, Cheri Gueldenzopf (fiancé, Jeff Egresi), Nicholas Savasta, Timothy Savasta; grandson, Landon; sisters, Marleen Miller, Janet Yust, all of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Al Yust.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday January 7, 2013, 11:00 a.m., with Deacon Russell Missureli officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
