Life Story / Obituary
Rose Alice Morris, age 100, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Pleasant Point Senior Living. She was born in Escanaba, MI, March 26, 1925, daughter of the late John and Alice (Nee: Hurtubise) Beaumier.
She was raised in Kenosha, attended St. Mary’s Grade School, Lincoln Junior High and graduated from Mary Bradford High School.
On April 12, 1947, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Frank J. Morris who passed away October 25, 1987. Rose had been employed. by the Simmons Mattress Company, American Motors and Snap-On Tools. Following Frank’s death she lived at and help in the office St. Monica’s Senior Living for 29 years. On May 1, 2002, she was made an Honorary Sister of St. Rita and made her home with her fellow sisters. In October of 2017 she moved back to Kenosha. Her extended family was very important to her. She had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her sisters, Muriel (Delvin) Durbin of Kenosha, Annabelle (David) Ralph of Kenosha, The Sisters of St. Rita in Racine and Germany; special friend, Marie Leavitte; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Roland Nantelle, Wallace Nantelle, Edward Beaumier; sisters, Noella (Chester) Curtis, Clara (Melvin) Minkey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 9, 2025, 11 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 1919 54th Street, Kenosha, with Rev. Robert McDermott officiating. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the Mass 10 am – 11 am.
