Life Story / Obituary
Rosemary DeMark, age 88, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Rosemary was born in Racine, June 24, 1926, daughter of the late Leo and Theresa (Nee: Brehm) Webers.
Rosemary was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1944”. On September 4, 1948 at St. Edward Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Joseph R. DeMark who preceded her in death, March 15, 1994. After raising her children she was employed at Sears for twenty years. Rosemary enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and loved dancing. An excellent cook, she will also be fondly remembered for her sweet nature, her great sense of humor, and for her loving and caring devotion she provided to her family. Above all her family was her greatest joy, especially her grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her 8 children, Diane (Ricco) Santi of Leesburg, FL, Bruce (Nancy) DeMark of Cincinnati, OH, Fai DeMark (Melani) Of Onalaska, Patti (Charlie) Knower of Viroqua, Eileen (Arne) Arnold of Racine, Brian DeMark of Harker Heights, TX, Joe (Paula) DeMark of Fayetteville, AR, Terri (Steve) Russo of Union Grove; 14 grandchildren, Melissa (Michael) Mularski, Michael (Eleanor) Manske, Scott Manske, Jim (Beth) DeMark, Laura (Matt) Sigler, Corri (Andy) Turner, Katelyn Arnold, Sarah Terranova, Christopher, David, and Daniel DeMark, Brock and Kayla DeMark, Miranda DeMark; 6 great-grandchildren, Owen Szymkowski, Gavin Manske, Evan and Joey DeMark, Julia Turner, Angela DeMark; brother, Jim Webers of Gross Pointe, MI; sister-in-law, Kay Webers of St. Paul, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Vincent (Anita), Gerry, Robert (Mildred); and sister-in-law, Rachel Webers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 15, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, with Rev. Terry Huebner officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association have been suggested.
