Roy Francis Ours, age 83, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024, at The Bay at Sheridan, Kenosha. He was born in Kenosha, WI, January 30, 1941, son of the late Orphie and Millicent (Nee: Williams) Ours.
Roy was raised in Kenosha and attended Mary Bradford High School. On July 6, 1963, at the First Church of God in Racine, he was united in marriage to Judith I. Spranger and were blessed with 3 sons, Danny, Roy and Eric. Roy retired from J.I. Case Company after over 30 years of employment. His many passions included hunting, fishing both in the surrounding states and Canada, trap shooting with the Case Gun Club, pigeon racing, and being active in both Racine Geological Society and the Wisconsin Orchid Society. Roy was also an all-around handyman who could fix just about anything and used this talent to build a race car, a power boat, a home and additions to homes. He was also there willing to lend a helping hand. Above all he treasured the time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Judy; sons, Roy Ours, Eric (Jeannie) Ours; daughter -in-law, Lou Ours; grandchildren, Roy Ours (Carolann), Ronald “RJ” Ours, Joelle Ours, Danielle Ours (Bangali); great grandchildren, Derek Sheppard, Noah Christensen, Gia Pharr; a sister, Pat McBride; brother, Harry Ours; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Danny, daughter in -law, Lisa, and his sister, Betty Frampton.
Per Roy’s wishes no services will be held.
