Samuel E. Lowe Jr., age 86, passed away Thursday June 6, 2013. Samuel was born in Racine on July 17, 1926, son of the late Samuel and Viola (nee: Jacobson) Lowe Sr., and had been a lifelong resident.

He graduated from Washington Park High School, “Class of 1946”, and from UW-Milwaukee with a degree in History. A lover of the arts, Samuel was a strong supporter and patron of the Racine Theater Guild and Racine Symphony. He also enjoyed working on his yard, gardening, and his coin and stamp collections, and was a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his three brothers, Jonathan (Patricia) Lowe, Peter (Pamela) Lowe, Richard Lowe; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Edith and his brother James.

Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Racine Theater Guild have been suggested.
