With her husband by her side, Sandra Jean Schoene, age 75, passed away Friday morning October 18, 2024 at her residence. Sandra was born in Cable, WI on September 30, 1949, daughter of the late Joseph and Wanda (nee: Crocker) LaPointe.

She graduated from Union Grove High School “Class of 1967”. On a beautiful summer day, June 12, 1977, Sandy married the love of her life, Steven J. Schoene, at a ceremony at Johnson Park in Racine. They raised two daughters, Lisa and Shannon, and shared forty-seven beautiful years together. In her younger years, Sandy was employed as a surgical technician for eight years, before joining her husband Steve, operating Schmitt Music Store for thirty-five years. In her spare time Sandy enjoyed reading, classic movies, cooking & her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her great smile, her intellect, her kindness to others, and her great love and devotion to her family.

Sandy will be dearly missed by her husband, Steve; daughters, Lisa Bauer, Shannon (Brian) Crawford; grandchildren, Devin, Sam and Alex Bauer, Meaghan, MacAllister and Kevin Crawford; siblings, Katherine (Mark) Raasch, Mike (Marsha) LaPointe, Pat LaPointe; -in-laws, Tom (Debbie) Schoene, John (Joy) Schoene, Laurie (George) Jackson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Sandy was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Cat LaPointe, and brother-in-law, Richard Schoene.

A Celebration of Sandy’s Life will be held at Preservation Hall, 740 Lake Avenue, on Saturday November 9, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Racine Arts Council/L.I.N.K or the John Bryant Community Center have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to Andi, Karen, Christina, Reanayn & Hazel, the IV Fluid Clinic team at AMC Kenosha Ambulatory Service, for their loving and compassionate care.
