Life Story / Obituary
Sherry Ann McFarland, age 63, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Marked Tree, Arkansas, December 3, 1961, daughter of the late Willie and Ruthe Mae (Nee: Grice) McFarland.
Sherry was a graduate of Park High School, “Class of 1979”. Sherry was employed as a caregiver at various group homes. Sherry was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship Church. She will forever be remembered as an excellent cook and beautician. She cherished time with her family more than anything. She was the life of the party and very outgoing.
She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by her Children, Walter Wilson, Darkela Earl, Dorindra Mitchell; 19 grandchildren including; her special Grandson Jaquon Shaw and Granddaughter Darnejah Bell, 4 great Grandchildren; Siblings, Charles (Deborah) McFarland, Robert (Sue) McFarland, Billy (Janet) McFarland, Beatrice McFarland, Mary McFarland, Laura (David) Price, Vickie McFarland and Reynonda (Erick) Townsend; very special friend, Darryl Walls; special Uncle Joelee, favorite Niece Nay-Nay and many other Nieces, Nephews, relatives and dear friends. In addition to her Parents Ruthe McFarland and Willie McFarland, she was preceded in death by her son, Carl Mitchell Jr., Aunts Martha Howard, Mae Dell White, Rosie Lee Phillips and Bobbie Campbell, Uncle Sylvester Campbell, Granddaughters Riniyah Martin, Lyric Powell and nephew LaQuintten Moss.
Funeral Services celebrating Sherry’s life will be held at 3:00 pm, at the funeral home, Saturday, August 2, 2025, with Pastor Todd Nienhaus officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation on Saturday at 2:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
