Sister Anne Morehouse, O.P., 94, passed away Siena Center, on February 7 th , 2026.

Darlene Anne was born June 11, 1931 to Clarence and Josephine (nee: Ohlert) Morehouse in Madison, WI. On September 13, 1959 she joined the Racine Dominicans and at her reception in 1960 she was given the religious

name Sister Cajetan. She professed her first vows in 1962 and her final vows in 1968. In 1968 she changed her name to Anne.

Sister Anne spent many years in service to others in teaching. She began her ministry in 1964 at St. Mary, Kenosha. Other places in Wisconsin where she served were St. John, South Milwaukee; St. Mary, Stephen Bull and Mitchell Elementary, Racine; and the Menominee Indian School District, Keshena. From 1984-1988 she served as the Community Vocation Director for the Racine Dominicans. She then did pastoral ministry to Native Americans in the Diocese of Marquette, MI. She served as Executive Director of Bethany Apartments,

Racine for four years before working as the Administrative Assistant at Holy Family Services Birth Center in Weslaco, TX. After moving back to Wisconsin she did Community Service, and became a resident at Siena Center in 2010.

Sister Anne is survived by the Racine Dominican Sisters and Associates; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and her brothers Albert J., Norbert J. and Richard C. Morehouse.

Welcoming home Sister Anne’s cremains will be at 9:15am followed by a Communion/Word Service at 10:15am in the Siena Center Chapel on Tuesday February 24th , 2026. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32. Memorials to the Racine Dominican Mission Outreach have been suggested.
