Susan E. TeVrucht, age 78, passed away Tuesday December 9, 2025 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee. Susan was born in Racine on April 23, 1947, daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (nee: Powell) Mehnert.

Susan graduated from William Horlick High School “Class of 1965” and attained a degree in Graphic Design from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. She was employed as a graphic designer with Western Publishing for 15 years. In her spare time, Susan enjoyed cooking, sewing, and doing crossword puzzles. She will be best remembered for her great love and devotion to her family.

Susan will be dearly missed by her daughters, Melissa Eggert (Wilfredo Velez) and Rachel (Jeremy) Thurman; grandchildren, Richard (Lisa) Caldwell, Nimue Eggert, Jeremy (Marie) Thurman Jr, Michael (Kristy) Thurman and Broc Thurman; great grandchildren, Hailey Thurman and Melody Thurman; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Susan was also preceded in death by her son Sean TeVrucht.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday December 13, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date at Graceland Cemetery.

The family extends a special thank you to Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.
