Life Story / Obituary
Suzanne M. Lebreck Kelter, age 78, of Franklin, Wisconsin, passed away courageously and peacefully on December 31, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Racine, WI after a brave battle with Stage 4 kidney and lung cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final days and faced her illness with incredible strength and grace.
Suzanne was born on July 26, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She later lived in Overland Park, Kansas, and Green Bay Wisconsin, before spending most of her adult life in Milwaukee County. There, she shared a life with her beloved husband, Leonard 'Len' Kelter. Together, they raised two daughters, Angelina Domanico and Jessica Kelter.
Throughout her life, Suzanne worked in various fields, including the dental industry and as a licensed hairdresser, showcasing her creative spirit and strong work ethic. She had an exceptional mind, always involved in creative projects, and touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. Above all, Suzanne will be most remembered for being an incredible wife, mother, and grandmother.
Suzanne is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leonard "Len" Kelter; her daughters, Angelina (Charles) Domanico of Racine WI, and Jessica Kelter of Milwaukee County WI; and her grandchildren, Kayla Domanico, Anthony Domanico, Anna Weisnicht, Isabella Domanico, and Giuliana Domanico. Suzanne is also survived by her brothers Steve (Jackie) Lebreck of Arizona, Paul (MaryAnn) Lebreck McHenry IL, Chris (Jacque) Lebreck of Waukesha WI , and their children, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Laverne Lebreck; her grandparents, Herman and Sophia Pitch; her oldest brother, Thomas Lebreck; and her twin grandsons, Joseph and John Domanico.
A special thank you to Dr. Pankaj Dhingra, whose compassion and friendship brought comfort to Suzanne during her illness, and to Lisa with Horizon Hospice for providing care and comfort in her final days.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Preservation Hall of Racine, 740 Lake Avenue, where friends and family can gather to honor Suzanne’s memory. A private burial will take place at a later date with immediate family.
