Timothy J. LaFleur, age 72, passed away peacefully Monday evening April 6, 2026 at his residence. Timothy was born in Racine on April 12, 1953, the third child of seven of the late Thomas and LaVerne (nee: Freres) LaFleur.

Tim graduated from Wm. Horlick High School “Class of 1971”. He received bachelor’s degree in finance from UW-Parkside and his master’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He relocated to West Virgina and was employed with the Bureau of Labor Statistic from 1989-2016. Despite loving his time living in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Tim moved back to Racine to be closer to his family in 2017 following his retirement. He was a member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. Tim was an intellectual and contemplative person who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life like his first cup of coffee in the morning, golfing, watching the Brewers, and reading mystery novels. He especially loved his many loving nieces and nephews.

Tim will be sadly missed by his siblings, Thomas LeFleur, Mary Kay (Richard) Sheforgen, Maureen (Dennis) Steeves and Monica (Greg) DaPra; brother-in-law, Rick (Diane) Johannes; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Tim was also preceded in death by his sister, Marcia Johannes; brother, Ted LeFleur; and nephews, Anthony and Andy Steeves.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 24, 2026, 11 am at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 1903 Green St. with Rev. Juan Camacho officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the Mass 10 – 11 am. Memorials to Heart of the Nation Catholic Mass have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Michael Mullane and his team at Aurora Cancer Center.
