Valerie Kleba Mazelis born July 11, 1954, died July 9, 2023

Valerie was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Joyce Kleba (Campbell) and Walter Kleba Jr. Valerie's first couple of years were spent in Milwaukee, off to Seattle where the family welcomed the birth of her little sister, then back to Milwaukee and finally landing in Racine for her formative years. It was obvious early on that she was a highly creative, unique and imaginative individual. Always buried in books, drawing, dolls and make-believe worlds. She was really quite sensitive (poor poor wowie!) and caring. These attributes remained with her through all of her years. She shared her art and talent with many through her calendars (valendars) greeting cards, letters, drawings and even her daily lists. All were remarkable and collectable. Valerie made many friends, many of whom remained friends through her life. They have described her as…sweet, wackadoo, feisty, crazyhead, ethereal, amazing, free spirit... She was all of these things. Leaving behind to cherish her are the love of her life Fred (Freddy) Lomire, devoted sister, Mary Kleba (Don Hollyfield) The Campbell Clan Cousins-Donna, Joanie, Maria, Sally and their families, cousin John Kleba and family and niece out-of-law, Reina Horton. Many very special friends, you know who you are… will stay in our lives and keep her in their hearts. And a multitude of folks she met along the way and were enriched through her friendship. Valerie managed to escape death on a few occasions but just couldn’t muster the strength to pull it off once more. This time was a charm for the moon and the stars. It is from there that our dear Valerie will always watch over us.

I love my swees to no end and will miss her beyond my comprehension. Mayrah

Special thanks to John Nowicki (Nowonder)
