Veronica J. Bauer, "Ronnie", age 82, passed away Saturday April 2, 2022, at Ascension All Saints Hospital. She was born in Racine, WI on June 5, 1939, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (nee: Kaiser) Bellovary.

Ronnie graduated from St. Catherine's High School "Class of 1957". On August 8, 1959, she was united in marriage to Paul R. Bauer at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Ronnie furthered her education at Beautician's School and worked at Deluxe North for 27 years retiring in 2002. She thoroughly enjoyed doing many arts & crafts and sharing those creations with family and friends. Ronnie also took pride in her home, garden, working in her yard and floral arranging. She had a special place for animals and took in many strays during her lifetime. Above all she treasured the time spent with her family especially her grandchildren. Ronnie was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Paul; her children, Roseann Bauer and husband John Gilles, June Bauer and husband Mark Tobias, Diane Bauer-Irwin and husband Scott Irwin; grandchildren, Alec, Jared, Keiran and Michala Gilles; brother, Gerald (Barbara) Bellovary; in-laws, Jackie Bellovary; LouAnn Bauer, James (Kay) Bauer, Eugene (Marge) Bauer, Dorothy (Ken) Sack; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Bellovary; in-laws, Raymond Bauer, Lee and Louise Bauer, Theresa and Patrick O'Brien.

A memorial service celebrating Ronnie’s life will be held at the funeral home Monday, April 18, 2022, at 11:00 am with Chaplain Paul Ssonko officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for visitation prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to University of Wisconsin-Madison Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (adrc.wisc.edu) have been suggested.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Ascension All Saints Nursing Staff, Palliative Care Staff and Compassus Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
