Warren E. Caskey

Warren Edgar Caskey, age 91, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center Mount Pleasant. He was born in Racine, WI, February 27, 1935. Warren was born the 10th of 14 children of the late Harold and Charlotte (nee: Spencer) Caskey.

Warren was united in marriage to Gertrude E. Czernik on October 10, 1958, and they were blessed with 3 daughters, Crystel, Lisa, and Renne. Sadly Gertrude passed away September 23, 2000. Warren later met Barbara (nee: Mulder) Hulsey and they were married August 8, 2003. Warren was employed by American Motors Corp for 30 years retiring from Chrysler Corp in 1989. His passion was classic cars and restoring them. His hero was the legendary AJ Fojt of Indy Car Racing. Warren also enjoyed being outside doing yardwork and cutting grass, camping, boxing, going to the Seven Mile Fair, Church Festivals, Sunday drives looking for cars and getting ice cream cones. Most of all he treasured the time spent with his kids and would light up being in the presence of young children. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife Barbara; daughters, Crystel (Wayne) Rabideau, Renne (Bill) Wendt; grandchildren, Chief Officer 3 Kirra US Army, Dana, Steve, Mike, Julie, Dave, Valerie, Taylor, and Averi; great grandchildren, Kylee, Emeri, Kade, Shayla, Andie, and Shay Jr. siblings, Donna Harnesk, Judy (Gene) Hulsey, Roger (Kathy) Caskey; and sister-in-law, Marie Caskey. He is further survived by his bonus family, Norman Hulsey, Leanne (Tim) Kettlehone, David Hulsey, Steven (Wendi) Hulsey, Kim Hulsey; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Caskey on March 13, 2017; siblings, Marvin, Wilber, Jerry, Lloyd, Donald, Glen, Virginia, Grace, Dorie, Florence, and Sharon; stepchildren Joseph Hulsey, Lynn Hulsey Gratz, Brian Hulsey, and Regina Hulsey Dlugi;

Funeral services will be held at Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St, Monday, May 18, 2026, at 12 pm. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 10am until 12 pm.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Aurora Medical Center Mount Pleasant and Aurora At Home Hospice for their loving and compassionate care and to the aides and kitchen staff at Siena Center who grew to love and care for Warren.
