Wayne Nelson Cowles

Wayne Nelson Cowles, age 76, of Racine, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, September 1, 1950, son of the late Judson and Marie (Nee: Van Kuyk) Cowles.

Wayne spent his early years in Port Huron, MI and graduated from Port Huron High School “Class of 1968”. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1968-1969, later moving to Racine, WI and working at J.I. Case Co. for many years prior to his retirement.

Wayne was an active member of Grace Church where he found great strength and comfort in his church community. He also enjoyed listening to classic rock-n- roll and riding his Harley. He will be missed.

Surviving are his brothers and sisters-in-law, William Cowles, Jack (Marian) Cowles, Christy Cowles; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Lloyd Cowles.

Private services will be held with entombment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Dover, WI.
