William A. Peterson

William Allen Petersen, age 92, of Racine, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center, Mt Pleasant. He was born in Racine, December 13, 1931, son of the late John and Minnie (Nee: Buhler) Peterson.

William attended St. Catherine’s High School, “Class of 1949”. He proudly served in the U.S. Airforce stationed in California. On July 10, 1954, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Barbara J. D’Aoust and they were blessed with 4 children, David, Cynthia, Donald and John. They had celebrated 60 years when Barbara passed July 12, 2014. William was a tool and die maker retiring from Quadra Mfg after 42 years of employment. He was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan who enjoyed NASCAR, beer and pull tabs. He will be remembered for being an exceptional tool and die maker. Above all he treasured time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his children, Cynthia Koss, Donald Peterson and John Peterson, close family friend Sue Smith; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Agnes Peterson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, David; and brothers, Robert Peterson, Jack (Joyce) Peterson, and Donald (June) Peterson.

Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home to celebrate William’s life Tuesday, November 26, 2024, 1-2 pm. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
