William Dominic Chiappetta, 92, a lifetime resident of Racine, Wisconsin passed away from natural causes on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Golden, Colorado. He was surrounded by his loving family.

William “Bill” was born at home on April 6, 1932, in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Carmen and Frances Chiappetta, and was the youngest of 8 children. William met the woman of his dreams, Josephine DeRose (Chiappetta), at a dance in Racine and they married in 1955. She was the love of his life, and they were married for 66 years. He served in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1954 on a destroyer, the USS Stockham, during the Korean War. He retired from Western Publishing where he worked as a Lithographer for 42 years.

William was a long-time member of Roma Lodge. He enjoyed playing golf, bocce, poker and spending time with his family. His proudest achievement was raising his 3 children. He was loving, generous, supportive, as well as a hard-working family man. He was blessed with 7 beautiful grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren who brought so much love and joy to his life.

William will always be remembered as a dedicated and loving Father and Grandfather. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his 3 children, Laura Chiappetta (Lainee Uberti) of Los Angeles, CA, Diana Graves (Robert) of Covina, CA, and William Chiappetta (Michelle) of Arvada, CO; his 7 grandchildren, Grace Chiappetta-Uberti, Maggie Chiappetta-Uberti, Brayden Chiappetta, Bailey Chiappetta, Olivia Graves, Dominic Graves and Briana Staley; and his 3 great-grandchildren, Ellis, Brooklyn and Lula.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife Josephine, siblings, Joseph (Ruth) Chiappetta, Anthony (Carol) Chiappetta, Margaret (William) Smith, Alex (Margaret) Chiappetta, Albert (Ellen) Chiappetta, infant brother Dominic, and Lucille (Bill Widmanich, Frank) Cucunato.

Visitation will be held at Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home in Racine on Sunday, September 8th from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. (Roma Lodge Service at 5:30 p.m.) William’s funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Monday, September 9th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Racine, Wisconsin of which he was a longtime member. There will be no viewing at the church. Entombment with Full Military Honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hwy 32..
