William C. Kluge, age 86, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. William was born in Racine, June 16, 1926, son of the late Carl and Julia (Nee: Gaiser) Kluge and was a lifelong Racine resident.

William graduated from William Horlick High School and then proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps as Corporal during World War II, stationed in the European Theatre. During this time he met the love of his life, Louisette, and they were united in marriage outside Paris on August 31, 1946. William retired after many years of employment as a Master Tool and Die Maker from EC Styberg Engineering Company Inc. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-six years, Louisette; his four children, Karyn (Don) Schmidt, Barbara (Patrick) Fogarty, Annette (Tim) Lord, John (Kathy) Kluge; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Bethel Roberts; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Relatives and friends are welcome to celebrate William’s life at the funeral home on Saturday, March 30, 2013, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Racine Zoological Society, 2131 North Main Street, Racine, WI 53402 or to Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 27106, New York, NY 10087-7106 have been suggested.
