William T. Epps, age 79, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Ascension All Saints Hospital. He was born in Holmes County, Mississippi, son of the late Jonas and Mae Willie (Nee: Booker) Epps.

He was a long time resident of Chicago moving to Racine this past year to be with family. Sonny was an independent truck driver who drove cross country for over 20 years retiring in the early 2000’s. He enjoyed driving on the open road taking trips to visit his brothers and sisters. Sonny will be remembered for his smile and storytelling. He also enjoyed gambling, sports especially basketball; but most of all spending time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Annie McGraw Epps; children, Mary (Leon) Thomas, LaValle (JaVonna) Lue, Latanya Parker, Kathy Parker, Regina (Vincent) Bell, Nyrobi Payne, Tyrone Smith, Marquise Smith, Kendrick Smith, Stephanie Lue; special grandson Dontrell Lynch, many other grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Sammie (Kathie) Epps, Annie (LC) Granderson, Mamie (Bob) Holden, Lillian Epps, Eddie Mae (Larry) Epps-Fondren, Robert (Zora) Epps, Rosie Lee Moore, Wille Mae “Sallie” (Charles) Epps-ClayBrook, James (Bobbie Jean) Epps; sister-in-law, Marilyn Epps; special friends, Miss Bonnie and Mr. Albert; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Lucressie (Howard) Jordan, JD Epps, Jimmy Epps, and Frank Epps.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 3 pm. Relatives and friends may meet at the funeral home prior to the service from 2-3 pm.
