Willis McLain

Willis McLain, age 76, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024, at Ridgewood Care Center. He was born in Enterprise, MS, February 11, 1947, son of Willie and Mary (Nee: Lott) McLain.

Willis was raised in Racine along with his 6 siblings. In his earlier years, Willis attended Curative Workshop in Racine, where he developed a love for craftwork and a fierce devotion to quality in his creations.He will be remembered for the beautiful latch hook rugs he created and the joy he brought to his family.

To cherish his memory, Willis leaves his loving mother, Mary; siblings, Elaine (Cleveland) Bowman, Charles McLain, Levon McLain, Carol McLain, Beth Love, and Johnnie McLean; sister-in-law, Juanita Mata; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie McLain and his brother, Lonnie McLain.

Private funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
