Zion Israel Moore, age 20, passed away this past December, 2020. He was born in Kenosha, WI, May 20, 2000 son of Kenetra Window and Amandy Moore.
Zion graduated from Washington Park High School “Class of 2018”. He had a passion for music and was affectionately known as Rapper AwfulJovi1600. Zion was also a sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing basketball with friends. Above all, he will be remembered for his infectious smile and his ability to bring joy to all those he encountered. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Sarah, Shavonte, Cristina, Jada, Jaden, Jalaiyah, Rasha, and Steffon; his grandparents, Angela Window, Peggy Moore, and Emanuel Howard; great grandmother, Georgia Wade; aunts and uncles, Anthony (Amber) Window, Raache (Crystal) Moore, Markela Moore, Clifton (Sharon) Smelley, Antionette Smelley, Maurice White, and Jan Howard; as well as a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and loyal friends. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Bernice Moore; great great grandmothers Beatrice Cockrell, Luella Nolan; uncle, Emmanuel Howard Jr; aunt, Evelyn Gardner; and great great aunt, Anita Cockrell.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, April 11, 2021, 8:30am until time of service at 9:30 am with Rev. Curtis Doss officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. The service will be live streamed and may be viewed by going to the funeral home website, select Zion’s page, select service, and select live stream. Due to Covid masks are required and groups are restricted to 75.
